Malvern Pool Closed for 2018

The pool is now closed for the season. Because of the possibility of rain and wind associated with Hurricane Florence we've had to put the furniture away and take down the triangle shades, pool ladders, and safety equipment. We will be lowering the water level and shutting the system off in the next few days. We probably won't cover the pool for awhile, so if you go by there it may look like it's swimmable; but it's not.

Thanks to all swimmers, tanners, readers, snoozers, and watchers for a great summer at the pool. We had no serious complaints, no significant damage, and no long pool closings. The system worked like a champ, and everyone's spirits seemed to be nicely summery.

We look forward to seeing all of you, your families, and friends at the pool next year. Look for Opening Day sometime before Memorial Day Weekend

Malvern Adopt-a-Highway Program

We are thankful to Ann Ferguson for the many years in which she spearheaded the Adopt-a-Highway program. Malvern Adapt-a-HighwayNow it is time to get in gear and team up for road side clean up!

We have coordinated with VDOT to clean up during the week of Oct. 1 - 8, 2018. This window of time allows flexibility for volunteers to select the date which best suits them.

Additionally, each team will be responsible for a specific location within the designated area; which spans on Oak Park Road from: Dark Run Bridge to Carpenters Mill Road. VDOT will provide road signs, reflective vests and trash bags.

Please email Nancy Negron at: nancy.negron@gmail.com to sign up and join the Adopt-a-Highway crew. Once a list of volunteers is formulated, terms and conditions and safety guidelines will be forwarded to each volunteer. Click here to view our web page and updates as they occur.

THANK YOU!!!!
