Next Monthly Board Meeting
Date:Thursday, June 12, 2014
Location:Clubhouse
Time:7:00 pm
Agenda:View View/Print Agenda

President's Bulletin Board:
PinThere has been a report of bear activity on Old Forge. The bear tore down feeders and overturned a grill. Please be careful and alert when walking or taking out trash. Trash should be in a shed or garage if possible. If not, please make sure it's in a covered container. Also, take in pet food and bird food at night. They are just moving through but can be dangerous if scared or surprised!
Click here Click here to read more about wildlife in Malvern.
Pin The green, E-911 address signs have been distributed. Did you get yours? I have a few left over so if you did not get one or know of someone that did not get one please give me a call -- Roberta at 948-6441
PinPlease remember to put the 2014 sticker on each ID card. If you need stickers please call 948-6441 or 948-7060.
PinSummer is here and with it a lot of new growth on trees and shrubs! Please clean out all trees, shrubs, tree seedlings from your easement area. That is 10 feet in from the side of the road. This area should be open and free of overhanging trees so if you have baby trees starting there it is easier to remove them now than have to have them taken down later.
PinWe need help spreading new mulch on the playground area on June 8 from 1-4 pm. If you can help that would be great! Please let Joe or me know if you can make it.

Secretary-Treasurer:
Saturday, October 18 is the date of Malvern's next membership meeting. One purpose of the meeting will be to approve the 2015 operating budget including capital expenditures. The planning must begin soon even though the meeting date is a long way off. Since the money being spent comes from you, the members, constructive input is always welcome. Remember that decisions will be made by those who show up. Got an idea? Don't keep it to yourself - let us know.

Speaking of decisions, did you know that even though you can't or don't want to attend a monthly Board meeting that it's easy-peesy to know what the Board is working on. Yep, 5 minutes, tops, per month and you'll be up-to-date. Just read the latest Board minutes. Click here Click here to read draft minutes from the May meeting for instance. Is it fascinating reading? Well not exactly. But at least you'll know what we're doing and your investment in time will be small.

Clubhouse & Pool Committee:
The pool is temporarily closed for repair to its filtering system. Click here Click here to check the Pool page for the latest information.

We have ordered some new chaise lounges. Please let us know how you like them when they arrive!

New pool keys are available. If you paid the key fee, contact Joe Graham, 948-7060, to obtain your key.

Pool ID photos were taken May 18th. If you missed that date let us know!

Roads Committee:
The road committee will be meeting in June to inspect potential repair areas identified by the inspections performed by the committee members earlier this year.

Based on these inspections RFP's will be prepared and sent to qualified contractors to bid on crack filling and slurry coating of specific portions of roads. It is anticipated that this work will be performed during the summer of 2014. Ample notification & postings at the mail area will be done to announce work activities, and any short term temporary lane closures that may be required to safely perform the repairs.
